I Miss Your Silly by Jolene Raison

POEM: I Miss Your Silly

A poem by Jolene Raison

BY JOLENE RAISON

I miss your silly
and other words you say
that I don’t say.

I miss your laters said as nows,
so:
Maybe I see you later.

I miss your maybes.

Perhaps I’ll compose my sentences with your words.
Perhaps I’ll hear your echoes
in their sounds.
Or perhaps I won’t.

Maybe I’ll tell my heart to not be silly
